*Warning* contains slight spoilers... Most of you knew these were coming ;p.
I have been asked over and over, "Regina, where are the Seven Thieves?" "How can you do an erotic retelling of Snow White and not have the Seven Thieves in it?"
Okay, usually they ask, "Where are the Seven Dwarves?" but I took some creative license and turned our seven unwitting heroes into big, hulking, smart and deadly, soldiers turned thieves. And, to answer your question - they show up in Chapter 3.
I started writing this chapter with a lot of butterflies in my stomach, twisting and turning around one simple question - Can I write and erotic scene featuring 7 men and one woman?
Frankly, the first version of this chapter did not have a full sex scene in it starring all 8 characters... I was too shy and didn't know how I could possibly keep track of all those mouths, hands, legs, arms, and penises....
But in the end - after some not so gentle nudging from my editor - I did it. I dug in, I drew diagrams, I went back and reviewed my writer's guide, I studied and read a few (a lot) of sex scenes with large groups of people - The Tavern scene from Beauty's Punishment by Anne Rice was a great help- and boom - Big sex scene.
Then I added more sex at the beginning, expanded the sex scene between (wee spoiler) the Queen and Snow White, and layered in more steam throughout this chapter.
For those of you looking for a sweet and innocent read to keep you relaxed and chill, nothing too hot, this is NOT the book for you :)
On the other hand, if you are looking for as much heat as you can stand wrapped in a beautiful fairytale wrapper, oh honey, do I have the book for you.
